About NYFF

New Yorkers for Fiscal Fairness (NYFF) is a non-profit organization, started in 1996, dedicated to promoting state investments that improve the lives of low-income families and workers across the state and advance a fair and equitable tax system.

NYFF is dedicated to protecting and uplifting all citizens which requires passing a budget that preserves the promise of New York and shares resources equitably between all of its residents.

In 2022 we are focused on:

  • Reforming and Redefining economic development programs: For the past decade economic development programs have been mired in corruption and have not delivered on job creation promises. Now is the time to reform and redefine these programs to include human infrastructure needs like childcare, homecare and access to higher education that have far greater returns on investment than traditional economic development programs.

  • Increasing wages for Childcare, Homecare, Human Services and other caring professions that have been underpaid and undervalued for far too long;

  • Ensuring our public schools receive the foundation aid funding they have been promised and advocating for additional resources for universal pre-K, after school activities and community schools;

  • Advocating for additional funding for access to childcare to ensure that its affordable and accessible for all families;

  • Delivering long needed operation aid to SUNY and CUNY.
